Fiona Stewart: Fiona Stewart is a writer, performer and broadcaster based in Glasgow. She trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts and is the Creative Director of Foolproof Creative Arts, an arts charity she founded in 2010. Fiona is a regular radio and television contributor, and hosts a number of podcasts including Hollow+Substantial, an inter-generational podcast about life and faith, and The Outspoken Bible, a podcast for the Scottish Bible Society. For SBS she has produced a series of audio dramas on books of the Bible including Where You Go, An End To The Darkness and The Advent, and is currently working on one on the Book of Acts called To The Ends of the Earth. Fiona writes and performs spoken word poetry, usually posted on social media under the hashtag #poemsofhope, and often as commissioned pieces. Fiona is a member of Adelaide Place Baptist Church where she previously served on the Core Leadership Team, and led a community based in the east end of the city. In her spare time she loves swimming (pretty much anywhere), theatre and attempting to cultivate her scrubby patch of north-east facing garden.
Elaine Duncan: Elaine is the Chief Executive of the Scottish Bible Society. The work of the Society is to share the Bible in Scotland and around the world as our conviction is that the Bible will lead people to Jesus. Elaine is not only enthusiastic about people having a Bible in their own language, also in helping people understand it and grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ through it. The focus of Elaine’s work has always been to encourage people to know God better as they interact with his Word.
Elaine’s previous employment has been with Scripture Union Scotland and the Universities and Colleges Christian Fellowship. She has a degree in Behavioural Sciences (psychology) and worked for 18 months in a psychiatric unit.
Elaine says fresh air, exercise, good coffee, stimulating friends and food go into making a great day! Elaine is originally from Cumbria. She now lives in Glasgow, works in Edinburgh and supports the Scottish rugby team!
